One reason why Muhammad was not in the Vietnam war was his religious beliefs.Another was he believed that he and almost all Americans had no quarrel with the Vietnamese. So for the religious beliefs, Ali first met Malcolm X he was given most of the credit for Ali to switch religions over to Islam, which Malcolm also kind of helped his boxing career.Malcolm would tell him that he is invincible and he would say that a lot to make it seem like he actually was invincible. When he converted to Islam he still was a boxing fanatic he only changed the view on things like war and vicious attacks on people that have done anything. For the second reason he felt as if the Vietnamese did nothing to harm anybody especially himself, and some of the U.S. generals believed that he was doing something that everyone should be doing. Here is a quote from U.S. attorney General Eric Holder "His biggest win came not in the ring but in our courts in his fights for his beliefs" So in the end of everything he made the U.S better in a way to have people keep fighting for there religious opinions and ideas on certain things like in this case war.
